Sail boats move. And this one sails away from the sunset. Part of my fascination with motion. Things are always in motion and changing. Or, as Enya might put it, ‘Sail away, sail away, sail away.’

This image also reflects the relationship and the space one often sees in my images. There’s a large world. People and the things we make are small within it.

But there’s one more thing to see here: it’s just a beautiful scene. In fact, when I saw it off the St. Kilda coast, I had to run to get to a spot where I could get a clear view and take the photo before the boat was gone for good.

There’s often the perception that conceptual art must be ugly. I hope this image shows that’s not true.
