I use photography to understand what things mean. Not just what they look like. I am drawn to in-between states where things are becoming what they haven’t yet become. And I look for things that often go unnoticed.

Understanding my work fully often means noticing what’s missing. It might be something literally missing from the frame that you’d expect to be there. Or it might be something that turns the camera toward you.

On the other hand, some of my work is also designed just to be pretty.

Over the years I’ve become rather private and reluctant to share my biography. I reckon my photos speak for themselves. Or they don’t.

But I’ve had the good fortune of being asked to work with major camera gear brands and to exhibit or be published in North America, Europe, and, of course, Australia.

The name The Place Changes Me is a result of extensive time spent living outside of Australia, particularly in India. Different places, different people, and different ideas do leave a mark. Mostly they’ve made me better.
