I Photograph What Isn’t There.
Understanding my work fully often requires noticing what’s missing.
I am drawn to in-between states where things are becoming what they haven’t yet become. And I look for things that often go unnoticed, whether because they are too ordinary or too small.
I use photography to understand what things mean, not to simply reproduce them. I’m less worried about whether my images say the right things. I’m more concerned about whether they ask the right questions.
