Bridges are means of passage across places that are difficult to cross. Rivers, canyons and other obstacles become easier to cross because of them.

In the other image of this bridge, I explored an obstructed passage through the superstructure of an old railway bridge.

Here, I show the same passage after taking only a few steps to the side. The other image is called Obstruction. This one is called Passage. The obstacles are still there. They still require care to avoid. But now there is a clear way through them.

The two images work individually, but together they form a diptych called Perspective. The physical difference between them is only a few steps in one direction or the other. The difference in meaning is entirely a matter of perspective.
